#6 Use a “stippling” motion to apply foundation
“Stippling” is not overly spoken about in the make-up world.
It is generally associated with stippling brushes, however, you can also use normal brushes or sponges to do this.
Stippling is basically when you dab or bounce the brush/sponge on your face, rather than swiping it across your face. Dragging your brush/sponge across your face can cause streaky lines and uneven application, while stippling on your foundation can give you a more airbrushed look.
This technique is something I have recently incorporated into my makeup routine and I have found that it really improves the look of my foundation. It looks much more natural on me and has given me more coverage as well, which is what suits me.
This may not work for everyone, but I sure recommend giving it a try. Let me know in the comments below if you’ve tried this and how this technique has worked for you!
