#4 Don’t use your finger to apply face makeup
We have all done it.
I still go back to this habit time to time and immediately regret it.
Applying foundation or concealer with your fingers may seem like the cheap and easy way (which is true), however, it can be detrimental to your skin. First off, if you do not wash your hands prior to application, you can transfer bacteria to your face, which can cause unwanted breakouts. It is also harder to control application with your fingers, causing makeup to be distributed unevenly and look streaky.
Being someone who has extremely oily skin for the most part, applying makeup with your fingers can make your skin even more oily than is already is, which is what no one wants.
Brushes and sponges are the way to go. I personally prefer sponges because I feel that they apply face makeup more evenly and results in a smoother, more natural finish. Either way, both options are much better than applying makeup with your fingers!
